The Rotary Club of White Sands supports num erous community projects\, and the challenges of the past few years have m ade our work more important than ever. Over the past year we have: • Run g the bell for the Alamogordo Salvation Army\, • Cleaned up 10th Street between White Sands Blvd and the relief route\, • Raised funds and aware ness for the End Polio Now campaign\, • Participated in the Big Give Chr istmas\, Lady of the Mountain Run\, Big Brothers Big Sisters Bowl for Kid ’s Sake\, & pack snack bags for first responders\, • Sponsored the 4-W ay Test Essay Contest for local 8th-Graders\, • Provided scholarships to four local NMSU-A students\, • Donated to the Boys & Girls Club\, The C ounseling Center\, Alamogordo & Tularosa Schools\, Thrive in Southern NM\, 100% Otero and supported the AHS Interact Club\, • Sponsored and organi zed a monthly Mobile Food Pantry in Boles Acres for 50+ families. Your sup port helps make all these efforts possible. The White Sands Rotary Golf Cl assic will be held at Desert Lakes Golf Course on Saturday\, April 13th th is year. Your support in the past helped us purchase a new van for the Boy s & Girls Club of Otero County\, support the Pregnancy Help Center’s Bui lding Blocks Program\, and this year\, money raised will help us sustain t he “Don’t Meth With Us” program here in our local schools with 5th g raders.
